Fire near Millbank destroys barn, injures one

The investigation continues today after a barn fire near Millbank.  It happened Wednesday afternoon on Line 80.

Although firefighters managed to keep the blaze contained to the one barn a significant amount of damage was done.  Perth East and West Perth Fire Chief Bill Hunter says losses will end up being more than $500,000.

Although 100 head of cattle were saved an unknown number were killed.  One person was hurt, getting burns on his arms and legs.

There’s no word on a cause yet but Chief Hunter doesn’t believe the fire was suspicious.
