AMDSB taking another look at French Immersion program

The Avon Maitland District School Board is taking a second look at its French Immersion program.  This comes after a request from Huron East Council for an expansion of the program.

As it stands now the only Avon Maitland schools that offer French Immersion are in Stratford.  That means that only students who live on existing bus routes to the city are eligible for the program.

School board trustees have asked for a staff report examining all aspects of French Immersion.  The report will be accompanied by a draft for a potential viability survey in the fall.
