Man who led OPP on chase while driving a U-Haul still at large

A man who led OPP officers on a chase through Perth and Huron Counties is still at large.  The chase, which involved a U-Haul truck, started in Mitchell Saturday afternoon and ended at Bannockburn Line between Centennial Road and Staffa Road.

Constable Jamie Stanley with the Huron County OPP told 1240 CJCS/2day FM today that they are “developing leads”.  Evidence collected from the U-Haul and “good witness information” is being used to build those leads.

In the meantime the suspect is a Caucasian man in his mid-20’s who stands about 5’6” tall.  He has dark hair that is described as scruffy.  He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap and a white t-shirt.

If you know anything about this incident you’re asked to call the Huron County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 524-8314 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
