The Friends of the Cooper Site want a walkway built in the old building so that people can see inside. They presented that idea to Stratford’s city council Monday night.
The group is looking for temporary, controlled access. They believe letting people see inside the Cooper Site building would “galvanize public opinion” for adaptive reuse.
The proposal was met with skepticism by most councillors with safety and cost being the primary concerns. Council voted to refer the idea to staff.
