Environment Canada investigating possible tornado near Goderich

Environment Canada is investigating whether or not a tornado touched down near Goderich.  Photographs have surfaced showing what appears to be a funnel cloud southeast of the town.

Geoff Coulson, a Warning Preparedness Meteorologist at Environment Canada, says they’re still in “fact finding mode”.  He says the agency has been in contact with area emergency managers and while last night’s storms caused “sporadic damage” there was no direct path of damage.

In the meantime you can help out the investigation by sending your photos or reports of significant damage to your property to Environment Canada.  Email them to [email protected].
