More than 20 charges laid after drug bust in Stratford

A man is facing more than 20 criminal charges after a drug bust in Stratford.

Police say they searched a home on Burritt Street early Wednesday evening.  The search turned up meth, marijuana, hash oil, and a large amount of prescription medication.

The drugs are worth more than $3,000.  Police also found numerous weapons and a small amount of cash.

A 36-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were arrested.  The man’s list of charges includes nine counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, resisting arrest, assaulting police and breaking probation.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
