The Huron Perth Health Care Alliance is getting the word out about its new Integrated Stroke Unit. This comes just on the heels on June, which is Stroke Month.
The HPHA says the unit, which is at Stratford General, is helping to improve patient outcomes. The transition to an ISU model began in December of last year and is now completely up and running.
It gives stroke patients access to best practice stroke care. They stay and are treated in the unit during all parts of their stroke recovery.
