The “bank investigator” scam isn’t just in Perth County.
The OPP says someone posing as a TD Bank employee got in touch with an Oxford County man on Monday.
The fraudster told the man that TD Bank was conducting an investigation into employees skimming money from clients’ accounts.
He was asked to take money out of his account and deliver to a separate location.
The man wasn’t fooled though and did not withdraw the money. The police were contacted and an investigation is underway.
Two elderly Perth County women were targeted earlier this week in a similar scam.
