Settlement counsellor can give help with immigration questions, forms

Newcomers to the area can get help from a settlement counsellor.  The United Way Perth-Huron, Multicultural Association Perth-Huron and the Centre for Employment and Learning are teaming up for this service.

The counsellor can help with government forms and answer immigration questions.  They’ll be available once a month in both Perth and Huron Counties.

Mark Hertzberger is the Project Manager at the Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron.

He says they’ve gotten requests for this kind of service:

Those who are getting help through the settlement counsellor will also have access to an intake worker at the Multicultural Association to help them with their other needs.

For an appointment in Exeter contact the Centre for Employment & Learning at 519-235-0471 and in Stratford contact Multicultural Association of Perth Huron at the United Centre at 519-271-7730.
