Pettapiece looking to help employees of closing Baldor Electric

Randy Pettapiece was “shocked and sad” when he learned that Stratford’s Baldor Electric would be closing down.

The Perth-Wellington MPP released a statement Thursday.  In it he calls the closure “devastating news” for the 65 employees and their families who will be affected.

Pettapiece says he’s written to the Minister of Economic Development, Employment & Infrastructure, as well as Premier Kathleen Wynne.  He wanted to apprise them of the situation and ask them to do what they can to help.

The MPP says he’s also reached out to the City of Stratford and Baldor Electric saying it’s “very important that we work together to support our neighbours.”
