Stratford veterinarian awarded for his efforts to fight PED

A Stratford veterinarian is getting recognition for his contributions to the fight against PED.

Dr. Doug MacDougald has been given the 2015 Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Merck Veterinary Award.  It’s given to a vet whose work contributes significantly to advancing large animal medicine and surgery, including herd health management.

Dr. MacDougald is widely recognized in North America for his work to minimize, control and ultimately eliminate Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea in Canada.
