Heat warning in effect heading into the weekend

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning as we head into the weekend.  It’s in effect for Perth and Huron Counties.

The agency says temperatures will peak in the low 30s Saturday and Sunday.  The humidex is going to make it feel closer to 40 degrees in the afternoon on both days.

There won’t be much relief Saturday night either, with the overnight temperature hanging out in the low 20s.

Environment Canada says you should drink lots of water, try to stay in cool places and avoid leaving people or pets in parked vehicles.
