Lock up your bicycles.
The OPP says there’s been a recent wave of thefts across Perth County.
Over the past week they’ve gotten numerous calls about stolen bikes.
Seven have gone missing in St. Marys and Listowel since Saturday alone.
Police say the nice weather may be leading to the increase in thefts.
They’re asking people to take more steps to protect themselves from theft.
Record the serial numbers of your bicycles and take a picture of it for your records.
When you’re out in public and have to lock your bike up make sure you attach to a solid object and use a high quality lock.
In the meantime if you know anything about any of the stolen bicycles you’re asked to call the Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
