City of Stratford launches “Keep it Kool”

We’re in for a scorcher of a week.  Starting today daytime highs are expected to hit the high 20s and low 30s.

To help beat the heat the City of Stratford launched its Keep it Kool program today which runs until Wednesday.  There are a number of cooling centres set up.

The Kiwanis Community Centre is open Monday and Tuesday until 9:00 p.m.  The library is open until 9:00 p.m. as well.

Brad Hernden, the city’s Manager of Recreation & Marketing, says they’ve also added a new cooling centre this year:

You can also cool off at The Anne Hathaway Park Splash Pad or the Lions Pool.
