City council approves sale of land to medical marijuana company

City council has approved a land sale to GreenSeal Cannabis.  The company plans on opening a medical marijuana facility in Stratford.

GreenSeal co-founder Peter Reeves is pleased the company got the approval:

He wants to reassure the public that this is a highly regulated business:

The 27,000 square foot plant is going in at Wright Business Park.  It’s going to be a secure building that’s not open to the public with no on-site retail.

City council approved the sale at Monday night’s meeting on the condition that GreenSeal gets all the necessary permits and licences from Health Canada.  Reeves says there will be job opportunities once they get through that process:

GreenSeal expects to be up and running next spring.
