A permanent fence is going up around the Cooper Site building.
City council approved a tender at Monday night’s meeting from Kieswetter Demolition. The fence is going to cost $118,000.
Staff recommended the permanent fence because a temporary one was only going to be $12,000 cheaper.
The fence is to satisfy part of an unsafe order issued against the building earlier this year. That order says loose roofing materials have to be removed as well.
