Save VIA rally in St. Marys today

Today’s the day for the Save VIA rally in St. Marys.

A number of events are happening to build on the campaign’s “voting phase.”  A demonstration at the VIA station got things started this morning.

After that a BBQ by donation is happening at the station at 12:45 p.m.  All the proceeds will go to Save VIA.

Baristas on Water Street will then host a chat with Greg Gormick and the Save VIA team. Gormick is a well-known rail policy adviser working with the group. That’s happening at 2:30 p.m.

A new event has been added to the schedule as well.  Transport Action Ontario will be holding its monthly Board of Directors meeting at St. Marys Town Hall at 4:00 p.m.

The day finishes up at 8:00 p.m. with another demonstration at the VIA Station.
