Storms keep Perth County OPP busy

The weekend’s storms kept the Perth County OPP busy.

Officers responded to 20 calls between Sunday night and early Monday morning.  The strong wind and rains brought down a number of power lines and tree branches all over the county.

Police also responded to two weather-related crashes.  One driver ended up in the ditch in Shakespeare and another hit a large tree which had fallen across Line 42 near Wartburg.

The good news is police didn’t get any reports of anyone getting hurt because of the storms.
