Stratford man arrested near Listowel

A Stratford driver has been charged after he broke down near Listowel.

The OPP says an officer spotted a Subaru and another vehicle Friday night on Highway 23.  Two people were boosting the Subaru’s battery.

The officer determined the Stratford man had been drinking and that he had planned to go on his way as soon as his vehicle was started.  He failed some breath tests and the 52-year-old was charged with care or control with over 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.

His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence suspended for 90.
