Distracted driving surpasses impaired driving as top cause of death on roads

Distracted driving is now the number one cause of death on Ontario roads.

That’s according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Constable Kees Wijnands with the Perth County OPP tells us just how bad the problem has gotten:

Constable Wijnands says they’ll be focusing on the issue this month:

The fine for distracting driving in Ontario is set to nearly double to $280 on March 18th.
