Road closure, bus detour on Matilda Street

A part of Matilda Street is going to be shut down for the next 11 weeks.

The closure goes up today from Galt Road to the Roadhouse Drain.

Crews are doing watermain, storm sewer and general road reconstruction, as well as a sanitary sewer replacement.

The closure means Stratford Transit has had to set up a detour.

That’ll be Oakdale to O’Loane to Huron to the regular route.

There’s also going to be temporary bus stops set up at the baseball diamond on Oakdale and O’Loane and Galt.
