CAA offers advice on keeping your car in working order in sweltering heat

Nearly everyone is aware of the dangers of leaving your child or pet in a car in this kind of hot weather.  But what’s that same weather doing to your car?

Breakdowns from overheating can and often do happen.

Silvana Aceto, a spokesperson for the CAA, says there are things drivers can do to keep their vehicles in top shape.  She says start with the cooling system:

She says the heat can hurt is your battery:

Aceto added you should also make sure your air conditioner is working properly, your tires are inflated properly, and that regular maintenance like an oil change or a full inspection is recommended as the seasons change.
