Junction 56 Distillery close to opening

Stratford’s first craft distillery is set to open soon.

Junction 56 is the brainchild of Mike Heisz, a former BlackBerry employee who quit to open the distillery.  They’ll be offering gin, vodka, and moonshine initially.

Heisz says craft distilling is a burgeoning industry:

He adds people shouldn’t get the wrong idea about what moonshine is:

Heisz says he’s waiting on his last licence from the AGCO before opening, which should arrive in no more than two weeks.  Junction 56 can be found in the former Pounder Brothers building at 45 Cambria Street.

You can find more information about Junction 56 at their website.
