Mulcair visits Stratford, discusses NDP platform

Tom Mulcair was in Stratford today.  It’s his third stop in the area in about five weeks.

Mulcair took some time to talk with 1240 CJCS/107.7 2Day FM ahead of his visit.

He says Ontario is an important battleground in the upcoming election and that the NDP platform is getting a positive response in the province:

Mulcair believes Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s economic plan isn’t working:

He says Harper has no one to blame for the state of the Canadian economy except himself:

Mulcair, if elected, plans to cut taxes for small and medium businesses while raising taxes on the largest corporations in Canada.

Mulcair says those small and medium businesses are the real job creators:

Although the NDP would raise the corporate tax rates on the largest corporations, Mulcair says they would not raise personal income taxes:

Mulcair was joined by Perth-Wellington NDP candidate Ethan Rabidoux and a large group of supporters at Revel Caffe.
