Municipal boundary adjustment meeting tonight in Stratford

There’s a joint public meeting happening tonight at Stratford City Hall.  It’s to discuss changing the municipal boundaries.

The lands in question are located south of Highway 7/8 in Perth East.  The councils for the City of Stratford, the Township of Perth East and the County of Perth have all previously agreed to Stratford annexing the lands.

The agreement was to be phased in with the final adjustment happening in 2019 however some property owners want to be included in Stratford in 2016 instead.

The meeting is happening at 7:00 p.m. at Stratford City Hall.
