Hidden camera footage leads to guilty plea for animal cruelty

Hybrid Turkeys has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.  Reports say the plea was entered Friday in court in Woodstock.

The company had been charged after hidden camera footage from Mercy for Animals emerged last year.  The footage, taken at a Hybrid Turkeys factory farm in Bright, showed turkeys being abused.

In the video the animals can be seen being kicked, thrown and hit with shovels among other things.  Hybrid Turkeys has been fined $5,600.

If you would like to see the video for yourself you can do so at this website.

Keep in mind the video does contain graphic images of animal abuse and may be disturbing to some people.
