Cullitons sweep Cambridge in Round One

The Cullitons delivered the broom treatment to Cambridge last night.

St Marys received it from Leamington.

Stratford defeated the Winter Hawks 4-3 in overtime to sweep the series in four straight games.

Coach Phil Westman says they knew the Winter Hawks would come out blazing in the first two periods.

The game plan was to wait for them to run out of steam.

Westman says the team is riding high right now.

Devon Kropf, Pat McKelvie, Mitch Brooks and Trevor Sauder each scored for Stratford.

Nick Caldwell earned the win in net.

Round Two has not yet been finalized.

Elsewhere last night, the Lincolns were skunked 4-0 by Leamington last night in the Stone Town.

The Flyers also swept St Marys in four straight.
