St Marys pedestrian charged

A pedestrian in St Marys was charged yesterday morning after she walked out in front of a Minivan.

The Perth County OPP was called out shortly before 9:30am to the intersection of Queen Street East and Church Street South.

There was a collision between a minivan and a pedestrian.

The Ford minivan was southbound on Church Street North, when it turned eastbound on Queen Street East.

A female pedestrian walked out in front of the minivan and was struck.

The 57-year-old St. Marys woman was taken to hospital with minimal injuries and was later charged with “fail to use cross-walk.”
