Stratford Police offering tips to keep your home safe during March Break

It’s March Break next week.

If you’re planning on getting away from the cold you could be making your home a target for thieves.

The Stratford Police Service is offering a few tips to protect your property.

Make sure you ask someone you know and trust to keep an eye on your place.  That includes shovelling snow while you’re away.

Inspector Sam Theocharis with the Stratford Police says there’s one popular practice you should definitely avoid:

The police say you should also look into things like timers for your house lights.
