Oxford MPP grills Wynne Government over Local Food Fund

Ernie Hardeman wants to know what’s happening with the Local Food Fund.

The Oxford MPP raised the issue in the Ontario Legislature Wednesday.

He says that after 126 days, the Wynne Government is on to the fourth round of applications but still hasn’t responded to the first round of funding requests.

Hardeman says there have been plenty of photo ops but farmers are still waiting for answers about the Local Food Fund and their applications are sitting on Wynne’s desk.

He speculated that Kathleen Wynne is holding off on allocating the money so it can be used as part of a pre-election campaign.
