Big crowd greets Justin Trudeau in Stratford

Stratford has now been visited by a federal party leader three times this year. Justin Trudeau stopped by the city on Tuesday.

He visited with Perth-Wellington Liberal candidate Stephen McCotter.  The visit attracted a large group of supporters.

Trudeau met with a number of those supporters before taking a tour of Chocolate Barr’s Candies. He then addressed the crowd imploring them to encourage people to vote Liberal.

McCotter says Trudeau’s visit shows that he recognizes the hard work their campaign is doing in this riding.

McCotter is running against the Christian Heritage Party’s Irma DeVries, Independent Roger Fuhr, Conservative John Nater, the NDP’s Ethan Rabidoux and Green Party candidate Nicole Ramsdale.
