Don’t get too excited about Canada Post’s suspension of the community mailbox program.
Anick Losier, a Canada Post spokesperson, says they aren’t going anywhere.
Losier confirmed in an email with 1240 CJCS/2Day FM Thursday that they’ve only suspended the installation of new boxes scheduled to be installed in November and beyond.
Community mail boxes that have already been installed in Stratford will continue to see delivery to them.
As for the boxes that have been deemed unsafe Losier says once they’re fixed delivery will resume to those as well.
