Gateman Milloy cites turf management, liability concerns as reasons for “No Trespassing” signs at country club

There’s no trespassing at the Stratford Country Club.

Gateman Milloy, the owner of the country club, has confirmed they don’t want people on the golf course in the offseason.

A listener emailed us saying that she’d been told there was no trespassing while she was walking her dog on the property, something she’s been doing for two decades.

Mike Milloy, the president of Gateman Milloy, says part of the decision is to maintain turf conditions:

He also cited liability concerns that come with an unsupervised property:

Milloy added there are no plans to make any trails for public use:

Gateman Milloy bought the Stratford Country Club last December.
