Lock it or Lose it

You have been warned over and over again by the police and the media but you’re still not getting it.

If you don’t lock your car doors, you’re gift wrapping the items inside to thieves.

The Huron County OPP is investigating four thefts from vehicles in Blyth this week.

The four thefts all took place overnight between Monday and Tuesday.

The vehicles were parked on Wellington Street, King Street, Dinsley Street and Mill Street.

Money, an Ipod Touch, vehicle documents and an ignition key were all stolen

Thefts from vehicles are crimes of opportunity.

Lock your vehicle, remove your keys and do not leave valuables in plain view.

If you observe suspicious activity in your neighbourhood promptly call police.

Any person with information regarding these incidents should immediately contact the Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 524-8314.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
