Pettapiece weighs in on RED funding for GTA businesses

Randy Pettapiece says he’s “disappointed” that money intended for rural Ontario is going to the GTA.

Earlier this week Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman pointed out that the Liberal government is refusing to reveal how much cash from the Rural Economic Development Fund was sent to companies in Toronto, Markham and Woodbridge.

The Perth-Wellington MPP believes it’s just another example of the Ontario government ignoring the needs of rural Ontario:

The Perth-Wellington MPP says they’ll be going after Premier Kathleen Wynne over the issue:

The Rural Economic Development Fund was first announced last September and only a few days later it was revealed that some of the money had been given to the GTA businesses.
