Pettapiece reacts to closure of agriculture campus

The University of Guelph has announced it will shut down its agricultural school campus in Kemptville.

Randy Pettapiece says that’s bad news for rural Ontario.

The Perth-Wellington MPP called it a ‘sign of the times’ and says it illustrates just how little rural and small-town Ontario has mattered to the McGuinty-Wynne Liberals over the last ten years.

Kemptville will stop accepting new students in fall 2014; classes and research programs will finish by the end of 2015.
