Michael Schweitzer’s defense lawyer says that perhaps it was Tyler Baker who killed Nicole Wagler.
Multiple reports say Phillip Millar made that accusation during cross-examination Thursday.
Millar suggested Baker shot both himself and Wagler in a drunken, jealous rage; a notion Baker dismissed as “disgusting”.
Schweitzer is on trial for first degree and attempted murder related to the shootings in Milverton just over three years ago.
He pleaded not guilty to those charges earlier this week.
The trial continues in Stratford today at the Perth County courthouse.
