A long-time police officer was hit with a Highway Traffic Act charge after a crash in Zorra Township.
The Oxford County OPP says the 31-year veteran was responding to a serious crash on Wednesday on Road 88 and was unable to stop for oncoming traffic on Road 19.
The marked cruiser the officer was driving hit another vehicle.
Both drivers were treated for minor injuries at a hospital and then released.
The officer was charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
