Curling championships off to a good start

The 2016 Canadian Junior Curling Championships are well underway.

The tournament began this past Saturday at the Stratford Rotary Complex. It runs until Sunday.

Tournament spokesperson Al Cameron says it’s been a great experience so far:

The Championship and Seeding Rounds kick off today with two draws at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. You can find more information about the tournament, including the complete schedule and standings, at this website.

The winning men’s and women’s teams will head to Turkey in March. There they’ll represent Canada at the 2016 World Junior Championships.
