Minor flooding expected due to rain and warmer temperatures

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is expecting some minor flooding.

With warmer temperatures and rains in the forecast starting tonight some of the watershed snowpack is going to melt.

The UTRCA expects waterways to rise to bank-full conditions and remain that way into the weekend.

Some minor localized flooding may also be an issue in urban areas.

As usual the UTRCA is warning everyone to stay away from the waterways as the ice is unstable and dangerous and the water is extremely cold.
