St. Marys Mayor Al Strathdee says the Stone Town is “open for business”.
This comes after a letter from Green Arc Tire CEO Mike DiCenzo was published in the St. Marys Independent. In that letter DiCenzo says his company has not received support from Strathdee or MPP Randy Pettapiece.
Mayor Strathdee says Green Arc has yet to even apply for permits:

Strathdee says there are plenty of businesses that are succeeding in St. Marys citing examples like Shur-Gain, Shepherd Gourmet Dairy, Norampac, Quadro Communications and Veterinary Purchasing.
Green Arc Tire first announced its plans to open a facility in St. Marys in November of 2013.
