The Perth East Fire Department is getting some new equipment, care of Union Gas. A $1,500 grant from the company will also go towards paying for the training for the new equipment.
The fire department will be getting ladder belts and hooks. They’ll be used to help keep firefighters safe while on the department’s new 78’ ladder truck.
In a release Perth East Fire Chief Bill Hunter calls safe practices and proper training important. He added that thanks to partners like Union Gas the firefighters can serve their communities quickly and safely.
