Roth, Marjorie

Marjorie Angela Roth of Cedarcroft Place passed away peacefully in Stratford General Hopsital on March 19, 2016. She was in her 95th year. Born January 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Peter Murray. She was the beloved wife of John Roth who predeceased her in 1999. She was the loving mother of James(Irene)Roth and Terry (Peggy)Roth.  Loving grandmother of Kristy-Lynne,Tamara and great-grandson Liam. She was the dear sister of Leon, Rheta and Kenneth.  She is survived by her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie was predeceased by her sisters Agatha, Bernice and Beatrice. Marjorie worked for Canadian Tire for many years, until her retirement in 1982. She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and the C.W.L. In her later years, Marjorie was an active resident of Cedarcroft Place and enthusiastically participated in the Senior Olympics. Marjorie’s family would like to thank all the staff for their wonderful care and encouragement of their mother. The care, dedication, and kindness of the staff at Cedarcroft are deeply appreciated. You made Marjorie’s last years’ active and happy. Relatives and friends may call at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford, on Tuesday, March 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will take place in the funeral home at 6:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Wednesday, March 23 at 11 a.m. with Father Dick Bester officiating. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society through the funeral home by calling 519-271-5062. www.jarfh.com
