Perth East council approves budget, levy going up 8.11%

The Township of Perth East Council has approved its 2014 budget.

The decision was made at the meeting Tuesday night.

The budget will see an overall tax levy increase of 8.11%

The township is blaming a reduction in the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund Grant and an increase in OPP costs for the jump.
