Sharon Ewart, age 71, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on April 18, 2016. Sharon was born in Stratford, June 8, 1944, daughter of the late Ford and Molly Hyde. Beloved wife for 44 years of Robert Graham Ewart. Loving mother of Krista Dona (Michael) and Michael Ewart. Grandmother of Keegan Dona. Sharon is also survived by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill Ewart (Patsy) and Ina Ewart and their families of British Columbia. She was predeceased by her brother Gary Hyde (1941). Sharon was a graduate of Loretta Academy in Stratford and worked as a legal secretary for Riddell and Mountain Law Office and later William Thorn. She was a secretary at Juliet School for a period of time. Sharon was a faithful member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Stratford where she had been a member of the Knoxettes and 1st Knox Cubs. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, April 22, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 142 Ontario Street, Stratford on Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. Mark Gedcke will officiate. A family interment will take place at Avondale Cemetery.
