Beverley Elaine McLeod, age 71, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at peopleCare Tavistock. She was born in Exeter and was raised by Alfred and Verna Weiss. Beverley worked for Father John Sharpe at Immaculate Conceptions Roman Catholic Church in the office. She also worked as an Office Administrator at P.H. Hiller Realty for 20 years retiring December of 2005. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and loved gardening, wintering in Florida and following her grandchildren’s activities. She is the beloved wife of David McLeod whom she married December 2, 1966 at St. Joseph’s Church. Loving mother of Michael McLeod (wife Lori), Matthew McLeod (partner Lori), Lindsay McLeod (partner Mark). Adored grandmother of Jay, Ty, Aly, Lexi, Owen, Briar, Malcolm and Beckham. Dear sister of Eldon Weiss (Doris), Charlie Weiss (Fern) and sister-in-law Marlene Whaling. Sister-in-law of Judy Hart, Susan Deadman (David). Also survived by nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Raymond Whaling. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Sunday, May 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, May 9 at 11 a.m. Father John Sharpe celebrant. Interment will follow at Avondale Cemetery.
