Another case of PED confirmed in Huron County

Huron County is now up to four confirmed cases of PED.

Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea has wormed its way onto 35 pig farms across Ontario and has spread to Manitoba, Quebec and PEI.

A nursery in Huron County confirmed the nasty disease last week.

There are nine cases in Oxford County and five in Perth.

PED has wiped out millions of piglets in the United States.

It is not contagious to humans and does not impact meat quality.
