Goderich considers a siren to warn of future tornadoes

Residents of Goderich still remember clearly the deadly tornado that hit their region in 2011.

Millions of dollars in damage was caused and a worker died when the disaster struck the town on the Lake Huron shore.

Officials in Goderich are looking into setting up an emergency siren at the courthouse.

It would warn residents the next time there is trouble coming.

It was one of the recommendations that came out of the investigation into the death of Norman Laberge – the one resident killed in the tornado.
