Police searching for pickup truck thief

An alert police officer spotted a suspicious pickup truck yesterday in Mitchell.

It was roaming around the industrial area on Herbert Street.

The truck was later found hung up on a snowbank at the end of Frank Street.

The driver had run away by the time the Perth County OPP had showed up.

The truck had been stolen from a home on Toronto Street East in Mitchell.
