Fire ban lifted in Stratford, remains in place for rest of Perth County

The fire ban in Stratford has been lifted.

The City says all open air fires are permitted once again. Open air fires are anything that’s outdoors such as campfires, burn barrels and outdoor fireplaces.

The ban is still in place in all other parts of Perth County though. That’s because the vegetation in the area is still too dry for fires to be safe.

If you come across a fire out in the open in a field or something similar the fire department says you should immediately call 911.
